Your responsibilities will include:

• Achieving agreed sales targets while maximising profitability across new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
• Managing and converting showroom, telephone and digital sales enquiries.
• Proactively prospecting for new and used car customers and identifying opportunities outside the traditional showroom environment.
• Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline through consistent and professional follow-up.
• Delivering a first-class customer experience throughout the entire buying journey.
• Presenting Volkswagen vehicles, arranging and conducting test drives and demonstrating strong product knowledge.
• Promoting appropriate finance, insurance and additional products as part of the overall customer proposition.
• Managing vehicle trade-ins as part of the sales process.
• Coordinating the preparation and handover of sold vehicles, ensuring customers receive a comprehensive introduction to their new vehicle.
• Working closely with our Marketing team on sales campaigns, promotions and lead-generation activity.
• Developing and maintaining excellent knowledge of the Volkswagen model range, technology and current offers.
• Ensuring all customer information, sales activity, vehicle documentation and relevant CRM records are accurate and kept up to date.
• Developing repeat and referral business through strong customer relationships.
• Working collaboratively with the wider Sales, Finance, Marketing and Aftersales teams.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A minimum of 3 years' sales experience.
• Previous motor industry or franchised dealership experience is highly desirable.
• A proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence in converting enquiries and leads into sales.
• Excellent follow-up and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for customer service and delivering a quality buying experience.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a busy sales team.
• Good computer literacy and confidence working with CRM and digital sales systems.
• A professional, positive and self-motivated approach.
• A full, clean driving licence.
