Dublin, October 17 – Škoda Ireland confirms that the sporty Fabia 130 special edition is available to order for Irish customers.
This special edition production vehicle offers more power, a lowered chassis, sharper handling, and design elements referencing Škoda's rich and successful motorsport heritage. It is also Škoda’s fastest series-produced Fabia model to date with a top speed of 228 km/h. The Fabia 130 blends performance and style for driving enthusiasts, while celebrating Škoda Auto’s 130th anniversary. The special edition is available to order in selected European markets, including Ireland.
At the heart of the Fabia 130 is an enhanced 1.5 TSI evo2 engine, delivering 130 kW / 174 bhp. Power is distributed through a 7-speed DSG transmission, updated with key enhancements including higher shift points for faster acceleration, double-clutch downshifts in Sport mode for smoother gear changes and modified braking logic for faster re-acceleration. According to recent tests, the 0-100 km/h acceleration dash is expected to be 7.4 seconds.
The Fabia 130 is equipped as standard with a sport suspension lowered by 15 mm combined with 18” wheels, improving handling and stability. The steering has also been modified, offering more precise feedback and immediate response in the newly adapted Normal and Sport driving modes.
This special edition also includes a two-stage dynamic control system accessible via the car's menu. The Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) system can be turned off to deactivate traction control and allow a controlled slip in appropriate surroundings.
The Fabia 130, based on the Monte Carlo trim level, is available in four colours – white, red, blue and black, complemented by blackened pillars and roof. The exterior includes glossy black details such as the front spoiler, rear wing and diffusor. Special 130 badges inspired by motorsport are prominently displayed on the front fenders and boot.
The Bi-LED headlights have black housings that give the car’s front a sharper look. Unique smoke coloured 18" Libra wheels together with the lowered ride height enhance its dynamic appearance. The rear of the car features a black stripe reminiscent of Fabia Rally2 cars – a feature known from past Fabia special editions. Dual exhaust tips are displayed prominently under the diffusor, underlining the car’s dynamic visual appearance and sporty character.
Jamie Phillips, Product Manager, Škoda Ireland commented: “With advances in battery technologies, the Fabia 130 is likely to be one of the last fast supermini or B-Segment ICE powered vehicles to be offered from any brand in Europe. Priced at €37,300, we are limited by staggered production of only 40 vehicles across 2026 & 2027. Prospective buyers are advised to consult their authorised Škoda dealer at their earliest convenience”
