The VW ID5 is a welcome addition the VW EV electric vehicle range

As part of the climate protection plan, the Irish Government have set a target of having 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2030. Volkswagen, Ireland’s bestselling car brand, has been leading the way in making those targets a reality. VW Way to Zero means that every step in the car manufacturing and the driving experience counts as we move to a cleaner world and leaving a gentler footprint. By 2030 it is envisioned that 50% of all VW vehicles will be powered by battery/electricity. In the next decade, the company plans for all its new vehicles to be zero-emissions motors. This is all part of the wider VW aim to be fully carbon neutral by 2050. Here at Western Motors, we have always been proud to stock a range of VW cars to suit all driving needs. We have welcomed the arrival of the VW ID family of electric vehicles as they brought innovation style and a new generation of electrical cars at affordable prices. Currently, it is estimated that there are less than 500,000 electrical cars purchased in Ireland. The VW ID range brings innovation and superior choice to the Irish motorist. That choice and excellence has just got better with the arrival of the ID range of vehicles.
