Used Car Grading | Used Car Grading System at Western Motors

Our Premium Grade 1 typically covers Ex Demo/Ex Management Vehicles and may include some premium one owner Part Exchanged vehicles. To qualify for this grade the vehicle must be free of any damage, allowing for minor wear and tear internally. Mileage must be 50,000km or less. Tyres must be a minimum of 6mm depth (legal min. is 1.5mm). Mechanically there must be no servicing due for at least 10,000km. Certificate of history check and 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty is included.

Our Grade 2 offers the best of Part Exchanged vehicles and are guaranteed under our Approved Used programme. To qualify for this grade any cosmetic imperfections must be minor and easily repairable. Mileage must be less than 120,000km. Tyres must be a minimum of 4mm (legal min. is 1.5mm). Mechanically there must be no servicing due for at least 7,500km. Certificate of history check and 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty is included.

Our Grade 3 offers our Part Exchanged vehicles that are in reasonable mechanical and cosmetic condition and these are also guaranteed under our Approved Used Programme. To qualify for this grade the vehicle may show reasonable wear and tear in line with vehicle age. Mileage must be less than 150,000km. Tyres must be a minimum of 4mm (legal min. is 1.5mm). Mechanically there must be no servicing due for at least 5,000km. Certificate of history check and 6 Month Manufacturer Warranty is included.

Our Grade 4 offers all our older Part Exchanged vehicles to our Trade Partners. These vehicles are not presented on our forecourts or in our Digital Showroom.

Our Grade 5 is only applicable to Self Appraisal Part Exchanges. We do not offer any Grade 5 cars for sale to the public.
