Vacancy:  Finance Business Manager – Volkswagen @ Western Motors Group – Drogheda Branch

 

Responsible to:  Head of Sales

About the role:  A key role within our Sales division this is a demanding role and will require a candidate with sound financial and commercial understanding with excellent negotiation, administration and communication skills.  Strong teamwork is very important as is an Industry recognised accreditation.
 

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the Volkswagen expert in all aspects of financial, Insurance and add-on products, keeping abreast of all market and industry developments.
  • Ensure compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and ensure that we meet manufacturer standards within the Sales Department.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with brand partner.
  • Complete monthly reports of finance product sales performance.
  • Assist management in planning, forecasting and revising budgets, targets and plans.
  • Ensure sales and profit targets are met, monitoring finance performance against targets; identifying and addressing shortfalls.
  • Responsible for building and presenting deals to customers following qualification from the Sales Team.
  • Ensure all financial and insurance product information is accurate when negotiating and closing a sale.
  • Naturally building rapport with customers quickly in order to facilitate upsell of add-on products.
  • Provide advice, guidance and reviews of processes to the Sales Team to ensure accuracy and efficiency on closing sales.
  • Co-manage handovers with Sales Team ensuring customers fully understand their contractual obligations with regard to products purchased.
  • Ensure deposits taken and receipts issued are timely, accurate and handled accordingly.
  • Train, mentor and inspire the Sales Team to deliver an incredible Customer Buying Experience.
  • Work with Sales Team to increase vehicle sales through active prospecting.
  • Work with Marketing Team to assist with plan for financial and insurance products, updated information in showrooms and digital channels and supporting and participating in any events or other marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain an organised and safe work area.
  • Be familiar with and comply with all conditions laid out in the Company operating manual and follow all safety policies and procedures.

  • An industry recognised financial qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and relevant experience gained with the finance and insurance industry.
  • An understanding of the legal, tax and fiscal implications of Finance and Insurance.
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-changing industry.
  • Motivation to develop your skills and knowledge and demonstrate a performance driven mindset.
  • Ability to communicate and succeed in a dynamic team environment, contributing positively to the collective environment and team spirit.
  • An ability to build relationships and mentor and develop others.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and have the proven ability to use your own initiative.
  • You are required to have a full driving licence.
