Volkswagen Louth was delighted to partner with the exceptionally talented classical singer Amie Dyer for an enchanting afternoon of festive music. On Sunday, 1st December, the showroom was transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland, where Amie and her musical friends treated customers to a memorable celebration of Christmas cheer.

Amie, a beloved figure in Drogheda since beginning her singing journey at the age of 10, has built an impressive career. After studying in Scotland, the Drogheda-born soprano showcased her talents in Austria, performing at the renowned Linz Opera House for the past two years. Her deep love of music has always driven her to connect with the community through concerts and charitable events. Now back home for the holiday season, Amie was thrilled to debut her latest single, Silent Night, at this heartwarming Christmas concert with Volkswagen Louth in Drogheda.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Amie shared, “It has always been my dream to release a record, and thanks to the incredible sponsorship from Volkswagen Louth, that dream has become a reality. Christmas has always been a special time for me—performing in local churches inspired me to choose Silent Night as my first release. I sing in multiple languages, and for this single, I included the first verse in Irish. It’s an honor to think this might be the first time the song has been recorded in the Irish language.”

The event also featured standout performances from Jade Quinn and her two community choirs, the Vibrant Voice Choir and the Loving Life Children's Choir, as well as the talented Alice Reynolds. Amie’s close friends, David Leddy and the Drogheda Male Voice Choir, brought the audience to their feet with a rousing rendition of O Holy Night and the majestic Jerusalem. They then joined Amie for a stunning performance of Silent Night, earning a heartfelt standing ovation. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Santa Claus made a surprise appearance to hand out Christmas gifts and chat with the delighted children.

Robbie Matthews, Dealer Principal at Western Motors, expressed his enthusiasm: “The event exceeded all our expectations—it was a truly magical way to kick off the Christmas season. Amie’s incredible talent, along with the outstanding choirs, created an unforgettable experience. It was amazing to see how our showroom could be transformed into such a festive and welcoming space. I know there were a lot of disappointed people who didn't get tickets, all 165 tickets were gone in less than two hours so we had our media team video the event and we will publish this later in the week for all to enjoy."
