The ID. Buzz was presented with the prestigious "World Car Design of the Year" award at New York International Auto Show 2025.
The ID. Buzz, the all electric homage to the iconic VW bus, impressed by the jury in the "Design" category and impressed the jury with its combination of classic form and state-of-the-art innovation.
Dr. Kjell Gruner, President and CEO of Volkswagen of America, Inc, said: "The ID. Buzz is more than just a vehicle; he is the electric soul of our brand, connecting us to our roots and at the same time boldly stepping into the electric age."
Launched in 2004, the "World Car Awards of the Year" is a globally recognised award for cars that are judged by more than 100 top journalists. New or significantly revised vehicles that are available in at least two major markets on two continents are evaluated. Innovation, design, safety, performance and environmental compatibility are taken into account.
This award is a testament to Volkswagen's commitment to innovation, design and sustainability. The ID. Buzz is now added to a list of winners, along with the Golf, Polo, up! and ID.4 from the Volkswagen range.
