A STATEMENT FROM WESTERN MOTORS GALWAY

 

In response to the latest developments with regards to the outbreak of COVID-19, we want to reassure you that Western Motors Group are doing everything we can to safeguard our staff, our customers and our suppliers. We have continuously updated our operational procedures in order to fully comply with the latest Government & HSE guidelines.

In trying to prioritise our customer needs we have made the following temporary changes to our business and the way in which we trade, these changes are with effect from 6PM Tuesday 24th March 2020.

Dealership Opening

 
Sales

Our showrooms will temporarily close but our Sales staff will continue to work our Digital Dealership during normal working hours and are on hand to create video show-arounds of any of our new or used car stock. Deliveries of vehicles sold will be by appointment only. Trade-in appraisals will be estimated on images and descriptions received but are subject to a visual inspection at a later date.  Deposits to secure car sales can be taken over the phone.

Service

We recognise the need to continue to provide our workshop services in order to keep our customers and emergency teams mobile and to support the services that provide for the most vulnerable in our society.

We will operate as normal with a small change to hours, detailed below, and will continue to minimise personal interaction.  We have made all the necessary changes to our waiting areas in order to ensure adequate social distancing. Hand sanitising stations which include latex gloves for customers are also placed around the showroom and waiting areas.

Please be assured that:

  • We will only check-in 1 person at a time and social distancing guidelines of 2 meters will be observed throughout the entire process.
  • Steering wheel covers and seat covers will be placed and used in your car.
  • All our technicians and staff who come into contact with you or your car will wear a fresh pair of latex gloves and dispose of them after they finish with your car.
  • We will continue to accept tow-ins and breakdowns but again this has to be on the basis that we are contacted by the customer or tow-in operator to notify us that the vehicle is coming in.
  • Payments will only be accepted by credit or debit card.

Parts

Our Parts department will be operating on a trade delivery basis only.  Orders will need to be placed by telephone at and payments by credit/debit card only.

Opening Hours

The hours for our Service department are Monday to Saturday 0900 to 1730 and for our Parts department are 0900 to 1800 Monday to Friday and 0900 to 1400 on Saturdays.

As our Digital Dealership grows we know that more buyer confidence is needed throughout the online buying process and to assist we have introduced the Western Motors Group Used Car Grading System. The system has been devised to offer more transparency to our customers and to provide an easy guide as to the quality of the used car being sold.
