Browse a world of captured moments of intense beauty at the Volkswagen Snapshot page on Instagram, courtesy of the Volkswagen 2021#VWSnapshot Instagram competition. Ireland loves to take photos. From wildlife to nightlife and from our favourite cars to our favourite views, we love to share our prized photographs. A browse through Instagram reveals the very best of scenery, cute animals and Ireland’s best loved car uploaded in all their glory. The competition recently closed with a record number of entries. As we eagerly await the announcement of the winners, we take a moment to reflect on four years of this highly successful event.
Each year we have invited budding photographers to upload their photographs with the Instagram, tag @volkswagensnapshot in a number of selected categories. The results have been breathtakingly awesome. The categories for competition photographs left plenty of room for creativity and innovation. Of course, the first category is our own Volkswagen Vehicles, and we are always astounded by the creativity among Ireland’s Volkswagen community, featuring fan photos of everything from the iconic camper van to the classic Golf GTI, all set against amazing scenic and interesting backdrops.
We added newer categories of #Staycation #Colour and #Sustainability to the ever popular #Water, #Animals and #Volkswagen categories this year. We are so excited for you to see the resulting photographs snapped by an ever-growing group of enthusiastic shutterbugs. Of course, the prizes are very enticing.
The grand prize in our Volkswagen range is an all-electric ID.4 for a whole year! A whole year of genuine, emission-free driving in our latest fully electric model that is delivered to the end user with a net carbon neutral balance jut for featuring a the most photogenic model of car in the world, the Volkswagen, in their entry. The winner of this Animal category will receive a pair of Apple Air Pods Pro, while the winning water inspired image will receive a GoPro Hero 8 BLACK device. In introducing a Sustainability category to the competition, we hoped to be inspired and inspire for the future.
